Mesa Mission

The MESA mission is to increase the number of academically high potential and high ability students who enter the mathematics, engineering and scientific-based professions and who have not traditionally participated in these careers.

Program Components

MESA provides a series of structured activities and events to support the college-going process:

1. Academic advising and college planning (Individualized Academic Plan) in conjunction with school counselor.

2. Parent involvement activities.

3. Career exploration in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) professions; field trips to industry or university sites.

4. Local and regional competitions in math and engineering-science design projects.

5. Access to special STEM enrichment projects during the academic year and summer.

6. Information about scholarships, grants and other financial aid resources
